I redesigned the rotary friction welding machine enclosure to align with its new brand image and colors while prioritizing operator ergonomics. The design features multiple windows for easy maintenance access, ensuring efficient operation while maintaining the machine's aesthetic appeal and functionality.
Following peer review with both my team and the engineering design team, the final design was solidified. I then created a detailed 3D model and rendered it to visualize the machine comprehensively before production. This step ensured alignment with specifications and facilitated any necessary adjustments prior to manufacturing. In designing the structure, cost-effectiveness was paramount, avoiding expensive features such as fillets.
The machine's colors were converted to the nearest RAL color for efficient powder coating during production. This ensured minimal production costs while maintaining the desired aesthetic appeal and functionality of the rotary friction welding machine enclosure.
